St. Louis is once again on the Grammy stage, with three hometown talents earning nominations for the 2026 awards. From jazz to rap to genre-defying R&B, the city’s musical legacy continues to resonate across categories for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.

SZA, the Grammy-winning singer who was born in St. Louis and still calls it her “second home,” is nominated for Song of the Year for “luther,” her powerful duet with Kendrick Lamar. Lamar leads this year’s nominations with nine nods, but SZA’s presence in one of the night’s top categories underscores her continued ascent—and her ties to the city that helped shape her.

Rising rap star Sexyy Redd, a proud St. Louis native, celebrates her first Grammy nomination as a featured artist on Tyler, The Creator’s “Sticky,” which is up for Best Rap Song. The track also features GloRilla and Lil Wayne, placing Redd in elite company—and marking a major milestone in her career.

Ferguson’s own Keyon Harrold, a Grammy-winning trumpeter and composer, adds two more nominations to his decorated career. He’s recognized for Best Jazz Performance on “All Stars Lead To You – Live” and Best Jazz Vocal Album for “Live at Vic’s Las Vegas,” both collaborative works featuring Nicole Zuraitis, Dan Pugach, Tom Scott, Idan Morim, and Rachel Eckroth.

The 2026 Grammy Awards will be held Sunday, Feb. 1, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, airing live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. For the full list of nominees, visit grammy.com.

  1. Black Americans need a community garden asap in every neighborhood, the prices of food is going tremendously. The second thing that is needed is a black owned manufacturing in every community as well. And lastly, parents need to continue to send their kids to community church youth groups , kids can be amongst other kids who share wholesome values.

    Sincerely,

    Cyndi Lovely
