St. Louis native Emmy winner and Oscar nominee Sterling K. Brown has earned a “Best Actor in a Drama Series” 2025 Primetime Emmy nomination for his leading role in the Hulu Network hit “Paradise.”
Brown’s name was called amongst a diverse list of nominees on Tuesday morning. His portrayal of secret service agent Xavier Collins is Brown’s first return to television as a series leading man since his Emmy-winning run as Randall Pearson on NBC’s “This Is Us.”
The series once again paired Brown with Dan Fogelman, who created “This Is Us” and “Paradise.”
The critically acclaimed dystopian drama is also up for “Best Drama.” Brown’s co-stars James Marsden and Julianne Nicholson earned “Best Supporting Actor in a Drama” and “Best Supporting Actress in a Drama” nominations for their respective performances.
Brown is already a three-time Emmy winner. His first was an “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie” for his portrayal of Christopher Darden in the FX Network series “The People vs. O.J. Simpson: An American Crime Story” in 2016. Two years later, he won his first “Best Actor in a Drama Series” for “This Is Us. Brown captured an “Outstanding Narrator” Emmy in 2021 for lending his voice to the documentary “Lincoln: Divided We Stand.”
Other nominees for the 2025 Primetime Emmys include Uzo Aduba, Quinta Brunson, Ayo Edebiri, Brian Tyree Henry and Giancarlo Esposito, Natasha Rothwell, Rashida Jones, Colman Domingo, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Ruth Negga.
