Jareem Gunter, a former Lincoln University student and baseball player, was recently named TeamSnap National Coach of the Year.
Gunter, a California native who attended Lincoln, is the founder of Dream Team, the only free AAU basketball program in California. The organization operates an after-school program and hosts weekly “Manhood Mondays” workshops. About 95% of the boys in the program do not have fathers in the home.The Obama Foundation has also honored Gunter, and he was recently featured on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
