Jaylen Davis, Webster Groves High School director of choirs, was recently honored during a Webster Groves school board meeting for winning the Janice Reed Fleming Excellence in Education Award.
The award is named in memory of Janice Fleming, wife of Charles Fleming, a Douglass High School alum.
Davis has served as director of choirs since June 2022 and previously was choir director at MacArthur High School in Decatur, Illinois. He also has performed as a background singer with artists including Barry Manilow and Josh Groban.
