Jose Gomez has been appointed vice president of the St. Louis Labor Council AFL-CIO, becoming the first Hispanic person to hold an executive office in the organization.
Gomez serves as business manager of Laborers’ Local 110, whose members work in construction across St. Louis County, Jefferson County and Washington County. He also is president of the Laborers’ International Union of North America Latino Conference.
