Judge Veronica Armouti and attorney Jarred Reed are among the recipients of the inaugural Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL) Illinois Region Legal Leaders Awards.
Judge Armouti, associate judge for the 3rd Judicial Circuit in Madison and Bond counties, will receive the Advocate Award for excellence in legal advocacy.
Included in her community support is teaching “Disabilities in the Courthouse,” a required continuing legal education course for Illinois judges.
Reed, an attorney with Lewis Brisbois who says mentors were instrumental in his legal career, will receive the Mentorship Award, which honors attorneys who have mentored the next generation of legal professionals.
Also receiving a Mentorship Award is Tom Keefe III of Keefe, Keefe & Unsell P.C.
Receiving BAMSL Justice Awards are Chief Judge Nancy J. Rosenstengel of the Southern District of Illinois and the Honorable Heinz Rudolf, circuit judge of the 20th Judicial Circuit in St. Clair County.
The award ceremony is Jan. 8 at The Regency in O’Fallon, Illinois.
