Aretha Franklin has enlisted the help of gospel greats Shirley Caesar, The Clark Sisters and country powerhouse Faith Hill on her new album due in 2007.
The album, called A Woman Falling Out of Love was co-produced by Franklin and will be released on her own label, Aretha Records. The entire project was recorded in Detroit, with the exception of Hill, who recorded her vocals elsewhere.
The legendary Franklin, just received a Golden Globe nomination for her duet with Mary J. Blige “Never Gonna Break My Faith” from the Bobby soundtrack. Franklin is happy about the nomination, saying she and Mary “were a very good coupling.” No word yet on whether the duo will perform at the ceremony.
But you can see Franklin right on BET on January 27th, being honored at the United Negro College Fund’s “An Evening of Stars.” The show will repeat the next day.
