Chingy

St Louis’ William K. Busch Brewing Co. has tapped St. Louis rap star Chingy to help promote its Kräftig and Kräftig Light lager beers.

Chingy stars in a new 30 second video ad that is part of a new digital marketing initiative as part of the company’s recent rebranding campaign and packaging redesign.

“When you come from St. Louis, you understand the importance of taking the path less traveled,” Chingy says in the commercial. “You have to take a risk to create your own legacy. Never forget what made you choose your journey. Get back to your roots. Get back to what drives you. Get back to what makes you, you. Get back to beer.”

The ad was produced by Think Tank Public Relations and Marketing.

“This spot also reflects the fierce independence of our brand and that of our consumers,” said William K. “Billy” Busch, president and CEO of the company that bears his name. “We want to salute their commitment to achieving their personal and professional goals, and encourage them to focus on what drives them to be happy and successful.”

Chingy exploded on the music scene in 2003 with his debut hit single “Right Thurr.” He went on to produce several other hit songs, including “Holidae Inn” featuring Snoop Dogg and Ludacris and “One Call Away” featuring Tyrese. He would ultimately sell more than 20 million records worldwide. Chingy also is co-founder of St. Louis-based Fulldekk Music Group, a full-service entertainment management company.

Kräftig and Kräftig Light have received 32 Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for taste and quality in national and international beer competitions over the past five years, and are available throughout Missouri, Western Illinois, Eastern Kansas, and in Austin and Houston.

The video is now available for viewing online at the Kräftig Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo and YouTube sites, and the company’s website at kraftig.com and it is being driven via the company’s social channels.
