After shaking up the St. Louis media landscape last week with the dismissal of the on-air staff of HOT 104.1 FM, parent company Audacy has provided a few more details about upcoming changes to their footprint in the market.

The rumor that 104.1 FM would be the new FM home for KMOX Radio was confirmed.  KMOX 104.1 FM will launch on March 24.

“We’re thrilled to expand KMOX’s reach and bring the trusted news and entertainment our listeners rely on, as well as Cardinals baseball, on an enhanced FM signal that covers the greater St. Louis region,” Becky Domyan, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy St. Louis and Wichita, said in a news release.

She also said that Audacy will continue to serve the urban radio market.

“We’re equally as excited to continue delivering the hottest hip-hop and R&B on HOT 98.7’s new dial position.”

The American reached out to Audacy for details regarding programming for HOT 98.7 FM.

Audacy was asked if the rebranded station will feature local talent. They were also asked if locally produced shows would be a part of its programming – and if there were any plans to include talent (past and recent) from HOT 104.1 FM on HOT 98.7 FM.

“We have nothing to add at this time regarding Hot 98.7 programming,” a rep for Audacy said via email.
