Nearly four years ago, singer/songwriter R. Kelly was convicted on nine counts of racketeering and human trafficking charges and sentenced to 30 years in prison. Last Wednesday, A federal appeals court upheld his sentence.
His lawyer attempted to reverse his convictions or win him a new trial by arguing to judges on the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan that prosecutors improperly used a racketeering statute that was written to shut down organized crime to instead go after the singer.
The appeals court rejected Kelly’s claims on Wednesday.
“We have considered all arguments presented by Kelly on appeal and concluded they are without merit,” the court concluded in its decision. “For the reasons set forth (in the court document) we AFFIRM the district court’s judgment.”
He needs to serve his sentence….he hurt so many woman kids children…YOUR KID? could have been….

If my parents don’t take me to school for a year or two and I don’t home school them the law would at some point hold me accountable for their lack of schooling. I question WHY the parents of underage children who delivered their children to an obvious predatory situation as indicated by a documentary situation or allowed them to remain in one were not charged with reckless endangerment of a minor considering how long things allegedly went on. Did the money well run dry? How much was made on the documentary? Did the victims receive any of the profits?
