A pre-dawn incident at a gated West Los Angeles estate has drawn Hall of Fame boxer Sugar Ray Leonard and his family into a difficult legal matter. His youngest son, 25-year-old Daniel Leonard, was arrested early Wednesday after allegedly attempting to enter his father’s home in violation of a restraining order.

Los Angeles police Told TMZ.com that officers responded to the 1500 block of Amalfi Drive just before 5:30 a.m. after a call from the home’s security team. Daniel allegedly tried to gain entry by turning exterior door handles. Officers found him near the property’s pool house and took him into custody.

Court records obtained by TMZ show Sugar Ray recently sought the restraining order, though the circumstances remain unclear. A hearing is set for June 15.

Daniel is the youngest of Leonard’s four children.
