So I have decided to lightweight stalk soul singer Eric Roberson after catching his set at the Holiday Inn Express on Sunday night. Maybe old boy I was tellin’ y’all about last week can give me some tips. My girl Vanita brought him back to St. Louis, and it was my first time catchin’ his show. I had never heard of him before, so everytime they would bring him back, I would be like “they need to set him up with a gig at Gene Lynn’s because he’s in St. Louis more than me!”

I finally decided to see what all of the fuss was about and I wish I had done it like three concerts ago because the brother is bad! Anytime you can make a song on the fly about funnelcakes and butterflies and have the crowd groovin, you deserve to be stalked. The black to the basics folks were certainly representin’ at the show. Is it me or does just about every black to the basic in St. Louis have about five side hustles apiece. I got so many flyers about upcoming events and authentic hair twisting that I could barely close my purse when I left up out of there. Alicia Kingshighway was in the house again as the opening act and Wild Man (hey, that’s what they said, not me) and was croonin’ a capella. I also peeped Aloha Micheaux, Coco Soul and Mocha Latte.
