Imagine you and your five children living in a 325-square-foot room with one bed. This is becoming way too common, and we wonder why children are acting out in our schools.

Community Women Against Hardship (CWAH), in partnership with The St. Louis American, is asking your help in extending a helping hand to those facing these and similar challenges.

Give the gift of hope to a family in need today. Send all donations to CWAH, 3963 West Belle Pl., St. Louis, MO 63108 or call 314-289-7523.

Family #10  – Single mother of two, ages 15 and 3, recently unemployed due to downsizing. She just found housing, and could benefit from a job opportunity. Family #11 – This child was moved from an unstable environment and placed in the custody of her grandmother. Her behavior in school has greatly improved, and she has high hopes of one day going to college. Help her grandmother provide uniforms, clothing and basic care needs for her.

Family # 12 – This blended family with four children, ages 13, 9, 2 and 1, is struggling to make ends meet and keep a roof over their head. Student loans and minimum wage jobs make it hard to keep up. They could benefit from clothing, basic household items, educational toys and books.

Family #13 –  Single mother of three working hard to keep oldest daughter in college and provide for the younger two.
