President Bush will be greeted with a protest in Clayton on Wednesday as he arrives for a $2,000 per ticket fundraiser for Sen. Jim Talent.

Talent is in a tight battle with Democratic challenger Claire McCaskill.

Act For Peace will hold a brief rally with Military Families Speak Out at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot on the northside of Forsyth, one block east of Jackson in Clayton.

A march will begin there that will join with other protestors at the intersection of Forsyth and Jackson. It will continue on to the Ritz Carlton.

“Without worrying about Missouri’s skyrocketing gas prices, forgetting about the drastic cuts in Medicaid, and continuing their mindless ‘stay the course’ strategy in Iraq – the White House announced that the President will be coming to Missouri for a Talent fundraiser,” said McCaskill campaign manager Richard Martin.

“That’s right, when Missourians need leadership most, George Bush will drop in as the bag man for corporate special interests that control Washington and our junior Senator. The Bush-Talent gang does not care about fighting for Missouri. They just care about keeping power.”
