Sunday morning, Jan. 25, snow continues to fall throughout St. Louis leading to many closures and delays. Numerous churches are closed and St. Louis Catholics are urged to celebrate Sunday Mass at home.

Extreme Cold Weather warning is in effect through Monday

KSDK.com has provided the following information from The National Weather Service: “An Extreme Cold Warning is issued when extremely dangerous cold conditions or wind chill values are expected or occurring. If you are in an area with an Extreme Cold Warning, avoid going outside. If you have to go outside, dress in layers, cover exposed skin, and make sure at least one other person knows your whereabouts. Update them when you arrive safely at your destination.

Major grocery stores adjust their hours

Schnucks stores will be open on Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Dierbergs will be open, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., but these times are subject to change due to the inclimate weather.

  1. I’m concerned about these transportation companies being open when it states in their contract…due to weather conditions we will not be able to operate. Yet they still risk lives just to make money.
