Seventeen-year-old Antonio Andrews was sentenced yesterday (Fri., Oct. 9) to life in prison plus 50 years. He pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of 22-year-old officer Norvelle Brown.
Brown was shot while patrolling alone on the city’s north side on Aug. 15, 2007. Andrews was 15 at the time.
St. Louis Police Chief Dan Isom told the Associated Press that he was satisfied with the decision.
