Marttise “Tee” Hill

Marttise “Tee” Hill, 61, of St. Louis peacefully transitioned in his sleep at his home on Monday, February 20, 2017, after a hard-fought battle with prostate cancer.

He is cherished by his son, Tedaro, with his mother, Kathy Blackwell; son, Marttise, and daughter, Meaghan, with their mother, Dr. Rona Robinson-Hill. He leaves 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a treasured son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, nephew, cousin, godfather, and friend.

He was welcomed into Glory by Mildred Hill, Argelia Gordon, Argelia Jr., Peter Hill, Willie Hill and Roosevelt Robinson.

He was a proud alumnus of Soldan High School, class of 1973. He worked over 40 years as a skilled laborer and custodian.

Marttise was passionate about working with children and supporting families in need so he volunteered with the Friends of African-American Families and Children Service Center on various community projects and fundraisers.

The memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 4 at St. Lukes Memorial Baptist Church, 3619 Finney Ave. in St. Louis. Pastor Norman E. Owens of the Rhema Church officiated. Ozella J. Foster Funeral Services handled memorial arrangements.
