Steven L. Hunt departed this life on November 16, 2010. Born and raised in St. Louis on March 4, 1966 the youngest of eight children to Leroy Sr. (deceased) and Martha Hunt. Steve confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Unity Chapel Church under the leadership of Bishop Ronald Irving. He was educated in the St. Louis Public School System and graduated from Sumner High School in 1985. He was united in holy matrimony to Yvonne Showers on March 6, 1988 and to this union two children were born Afara and Steven, Jr. He was employed for 19 years in the St. Louis Public School System and with changes and restructuring the system became part of Sodexa, Shurn and Associates and finally Aramark Education were he was Head Custodian at The Gateway Metro Complex where he touched the lives of the staff, students, and co-workers that he daily encountered. Steve touched so many other lives with the love and kindness he shared with all he came in contact with. In addition to his family and work responsibilities, Steve would often take on projects in carpentry, construction and often repairing friends and families homes. Steve was a loving, caring and devoted father, son and brother. He is survived by his children, mother and seven siblings. Steven will be missed.
