Victor G. Sholar, son of Claudia Sholar and the late Odell Sholar, was born in St. Louis, on August 31, 1946. He was baptized at Mercy Seat Baptist Church by the late Rev. Roosevelt Brown.

Victor graduated from Soldan High School, attended St. Louis Community College and received training and certification as a Respiratory Therapist at Barnes Hospital. The training he received as a Respiratory Therapist was used during his military term in the Panama Canal Zone during the Vietnam Era. He had a distinguished career as a Supervisory Respiratory Therapist in St. Louis, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Denver.

He was a true sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed playing basketball. He loved the competition and showmanship of the game.

Victor was united in holy matrimony to Sharon Shelton. To this union, one son, Victor Gibran, was born. The late Quida Ried Sholar, Victor’s second wife, was the proud stepmother of Gibran.

Victor entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2009 at the age of 62.
