We’re Close — But We Still Need You.

Thank you to everyone who has already completed our Breast Cancer Awareness Survey. Your support has been incredible. But we still need your help to address a public health crisis that impacts our community more than most.
Breast cancer touches all of us: mothers, sisters, daughters and friends. Yet Black women are 40% more likely to die from the disease, even though we are diagnosed at similar rates. We know the numbers, but we still don’t fully understand why.
This is where you come in. We especially need to hear from younger adults ages 18–24 and 25–34 and a few more in the 35-54 age group. Your experiences, perspectives and understanding of healthcare, access and awareness are critical to uncovering the barriers harming Black women disproportionately.
We only need 43 more surveys by December 1 to reach our goal. Your voice can help shape better awareness, care and access for our community.
Please take the survey today and share it with at least one friend who hasn’t yet.
Thank you,
The St. Louis American
