” If my people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves; pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.”
II Chronicles 7:14 ( Amplified Bible)
The Word of God is the believers’ passport to victory in every area of life. Hid in the pages of the Bible are thousands of golden nuggets placed there so that we could live the abundant life. This rich treasure is the word of God that is alive and full of power. God wanted to make sure that we would be able to overcome any and every obstacle that might come our way. He wanted every believer to be able to fulfill their purpose in life and consistently walk toward their destiny.
God admonishes His people to read, study, meditate and live by His word. It is to become a “lamp to our feet and a light to our path.” When the word of God becomes the most important source for power and success in life, the believer will see a move of God that will open doors that were once thought to be impossible to open.
IThes 5:17 tells us, “Be unceasing in prayer (praying perseveringly).” Prayer is the master key the opens the door to victory in every area in life. We are challenged by God to maintain a life of prayer. When there is a lack of prayer in the life of a believer, expect to experience consistent failure in life.
Prayer, which is communication with God, allows the believer to release the power of God out into the universe and thereby creating a climate for a move of God’s power on the earth. God only responds to His Word. When you live by the word giving the word first place in your life, expect to see a positive move of God’s power in your life.
The word of God is powerful. Therefore, when words are prayed in faith without any doubt or unbelief they will produce the desired harvest. The Bible lets us know that “we can have what we say.” God will respond to the words that you speak out of your mouth. This is why He said, “life and death are in the power of the tongue.” Every time you open your mouth, you are either creating the good that you desire or opening a door for failure to come in. Many times words are spoken without really realizing what has been said. Parents call their children bad. Negative and unproductive words are spoken over the lives of children and then we wonder why they end up in prison. We talk about our status in life in negative way and then become angry when we are engulfed with failure and defeat.
Our God never intended for His people to live a defeated life. He proclaimed an abundant life through our relationship with Jesus. Did God lie? Did He make a mistake? Are His promises just for a few people? The answer is no. His promises are sure. and He cannot lie. The problem is with us, His children. We fail to obey and follow God’s instruction as it is written in the manual for life; His Word.
If there is to be an abundant life lived on this earth, you must pray. “The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” There is no substitute for prayer. It is as necessary as food and water. If you want to experience a move of God’s power in your life, prevailing prayer must have first place.
Many are praying empty prayers that never enter the Throne Room of God. If your prayers never come up before God, they will not be answered. Prayers that continue to speak the problem will not come before the presence of God. Prayers lacking in faith will never be answered. Unforgiveness will hinder prayers from being answered. I do not care what another person may have done to you, forgiveness will open the door for victory.
Hear God speaking to you through this message. You must develop a prayer life that will move the mountains of circumstances that exist in your life. Prayer will change your failures to victories. It will open doors for you that were once thought to be permanently closed. It will change the heart of negative people. It will service as a safety net for you and your family.
It will give you the peace of mind and the confidence to live each day with a positive knowing in your heart that everything is going to work out according to the will of God.
If you are one of God’s children, prayer is not an option for you. He is telling you that prayer is a necessity. It is when you pray, not if you pray. He has promised to hear from heaven, forgive your sin and bring wholeness into every one of your life situations. We, God’s people, have been given the power to change any negative situation in the earth. The positive change will only come when we join together in prayer and believe God for a move of His power in the earth.
