“Now to Him, Who by the action of His power that is at work within us is able to carry out His purpose and do superabundantly far over and above all that you dare ask or think infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams.” Eph. 3:20 (Amplified Bible)
The believer who has said yes to Jesus has an abundance of blessings in heaven just waiting to be released. God never promises anything that He cannot deliver. If He has spoken it in His word then all that He has said can come to pass. If this is true, why are so many of God’s people living beneath their rights and privileges?
Many of God’s children are lacking in knowledge and understanding of the blessings that have been set aside for them. Most never look beyond salvation to see what God has promised in His word. When we fail to live up to our God-given potential, God is sadden. It looks as if He does not care about His family. When we fail to tap into the blessings set aside for us it appears that God has forsaken us. This is far from the truth. God has a storehouse of blessings just waiting for you. What you believe and the action that you take based upon your belief system will determine what you receive from God.
The word of God is the believer’s road map to victory. It is God’s victory plan for His children. If the believer does not go to the map for information and direction, he may never discover the richness of God’s blessings that is just waiting to be released from heaven.
The exciting thing about our walk with the Lord is that it is never too late to get started. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what you may have done or did not do in the past. Because of God’s love for the whole world, He will honor His word at all times.
We have been challenged to ask, seek and knock and there would be answers. Many have not because they ask not. You will never go to the level of success that God has for you if you do not believe that He has more for you and is willing and ready to release it. If you really want to live a life that is filled with one blessing after the other it is time to go after what is rightfully yours with a spirit of relentless pursuit.
The first step to receiving from God is to know without any doubt that God wants you to have His highest and best. He is no respecter of persons. If there is discrimination it comes from your mind placed there by the enemy of your soul, Satan. You must learn how to rebuke the enemy’s negative thoughts and replace them with promises from the word of God.
Second, you must take steps of faith. Where there is no action there is no faith. Sitting and feeling sorry for yourself will not bring desired blessings into your life. God honors faith and action. He is just waiting for you to ask and then begin to take corresponding steps. As you move in unwavering faith God will begin to open doors for you that no one will be able to close. In spite of what someone may try to do to hinder you, their efforts will be in vain.
Thirdly, you must acknowledge the unlimited power that lives within in the person of the Holy Spirit. His power that is alive in you can and will take you to heights beyond what you could ever imagine. This unlimited ability is released when you walk in the power and authority of God’s faith. In other words even though you do not initially see anything in the natural, you believe that you have it. You speak that you have the desired request and act like it is already yours. This level of faith opens the portals of heaven and creates a climate for an avalanche of blessings just waiting to flow into your life.
Finally, you must thank God for what He is going to do before you receive it. Praise and thanksgiving moves God. If you are going to move from where you are to the place that has remained a dream or hope for most of your life, praise and thanksgiving must become a major part of your lifestyle. “From the rising of the sun until the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is to be praised.”
Praise and thanksgiving bestows honor upon God. It says that we realize that all that we are and ever will be comes from Him. It says that we praise God because we love and adore Him and are not ashamed to let the world know that He is our everything.
