Business, nonprofit and community leaders across the region should mark their calendars for one of St. Louis’ longest-running celebrations of leadership and economic impact.
The St. Louis American Foundation will host its 24th Annual Salute to Excellence in Business Luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 19, at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis. The event is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will draw executives, entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders and emerging professionals from across the metropolitan area.
The Salute to Excellence in Business has become the foundation’s signature business leadership event, recognizing individuals and organizations whose work strengthens the regional economy and expands opportunity. The luncheon also serves as a forum for reflection on the role inclusive leadership plays in shaping St. Louis’ future.
“As we head into the 24th year of the Salute to Excellence in Business, we’re excited to welcome both longtime supporters and new faces,” said Raven Whitener, director of the foundation. “Each year, the room is filled with leaders who care deeply about this region, which makes the luncheon a meaningful opportunity for connection.”
Whitener said the event will spotlight “the innovation and impact happening across our business and nonprofit communities.”
Each year, the luncheon honors leaders across multiple sectors, recognizing excellence in business, entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, nonprofit service and community impact. Award categories for the 2026 program include Lifetime Achiever in Business, Entrepreneur of the Year, Corporate Executive of the Year, Nonprofit Executive of the Year and Excellence in Community Impact. Honorees will be announced in a series of St. Louis American stories closer to the event.
Proceeds from the luncheon support the foundation’s education, workforce development and community-impact initiatives, which focus on expanding access to opportunity and strengthening pathways to economic mobility throughout the region.
Organizers said the event continues to grow in relevance as St. Louis navigates persistent economic disparities alongside new opportunities for innovation and growth. By bringing together established leaders and emerging professionals, the luncheon creates space for networking, dialogue and cross-sector collaboration.
Details about tickets, sponsorship opportunities and the full program will be released in the coming weeks.
