St. Louisan Kyren Williams of the Los Angeles Rams is one game away from playing in the Super Bowl.
The former Vianney High star rushed for 87 yards and scored two touchdowns in the Rams’ 20-17 overtime victory over the Chicago Bears in the NFC Divisional Playoffs in Chicago on Sunday night.
Williams also caught four passes for 30 yards, giving him a total of 117 yards from scrimmage on the night. He scored his first touchdown on a four-yard run to give the Rams a 7-0 lead with six minutes and 33 seconds left in the first quarter.
Williams reached the end zone again in the fourth quarter when he scored on a five-yard run with 6:02 left to give the Rams a 17-10 lead. Williams carried the ball seven times on the Rams’ 91-yard scoring drive.
The Rams will play the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC championship game next Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in Seattle. The winner will advance to Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8 in Santa Clara, California to play the winner of the AFC championship game between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots.
