Louise Anna Hulsey (nee Bland) was the youngest of seven children born to George and Annie Dean Bland on August 9, 1919. Louise attended Robertsville School of Franklin County, MO during her youth. She was preceeded in death by her parents and siblings.
As a young adult, Louise was blessed with her first child, Wilma Laverne, and was united in matrimony to Herman Fleming. To this union one child was born, Shirley Ernestine. Herman Fleming preceded Louise in death. On February 3, 1939 Louise was united in hold matrimony to Clark Hulsey of Cuba, MO. To this union were born five children: Earnesr Thurn, Clifford, Jake, Sylvia Veronica and Carol Jeanette. She was preceded in death by her husband Clark Hulsey, two of her children, Clifford Hulsey and Jake Hulsey; one grandson, Elliot Brown; and two sons-in-law, Mack Brown Sr. and Norman Barry.
Louise worked as a private care and child care giver for many years. In later years, Louise lived a full life and devoted her time to her husband Clark, her children, her grandchildren and her church.
Louise Hulsey accepted Christ in June of 1952 at Robertsville Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Coates, where she remained a faithful member and was elevated to Senior Church Mother. She leaves a strong legacy of spiritual and natural strength. Her precious memory will not soon fade.
Louise Hulsey departed this life on Wednesday, August 30, 2006. She leaves to mourn her passing five children: Wilma L. Brown, Shirley E. Yokley (Ralph), Earnest T. Hulsey (Sandy), Sylvia V. Barry and Carol J. Moore (Melvin); 27 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two honorary adopted children, Mrs. Martha Hulsey and Mr. Jimmy Perkins; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, including her best friend, Mrs. Mary Goodrich.
