In an effort to support New Life Interdenominational Church ‘s expanded programmatic efforts and the development of the Metro East Mentors project, United Way recently awarded NLE $39,250.000.
As a partner with Susan Taylor’s National Mentoring Movement, NLE in partnership with three other faith-based organizationsm, has developed the Metro East Mentoring program. The Launch event targeted the recruitment of mentors and mentees and was held on November 13.
Guest speakers included Susan Taylor, of Essence Magazine and the founder of the National CARES Mentoring Movement, Gary Dollar, president of United Way of Greater St. Louis, representatives from Big Brothers Big Sisters, YMCA and the Girl Scouts Organization. Carol Daniels of Great Day St.Louis was the Mistress of Ceremony. This event included door prizes, guest speakers and entertainment for the entire family.
United Way of Greater St. Louis has been a strong supporter of New Life Interdenominational Church since 2006 and has awarded a total $99,250.00 towards their programmatic efforts. New Life Interdenominational Church is located at 689 Scott Troy Road., O’Fallon, MO.
