Hamilton Heights Neighborhood Org., Inc. and the Palm Place Development, LLC will have their groundbreaking ceremony at the site of its first phase of 20 new homes in the 5500 block Palm Street.
The groundbreaking is scheduled for Friday, June 3, 2005 at 1 p.m.
The new homes will benefit the community by building southward off of the $5 million rehabbed rental investment in the 5500 block of Natural Bridge. Also, the new houses will begin to stabilize a block that was once plagued with nearly 80 percent vacant and derelict buildings and are creating a positive tax roll for the City.
Jeffrey Boyd, 22nd Ward Alderman, said, “This and other planned housing projects will allow others to see the gem of prime property the 22nd Ward has to offer.”
