New York Fashion Week 2005 showcased a number of new arrivals from the celebrity set last week as well as familiar celebrity faces in the crowd.

Roc-A-Fella mogul Damon Dash launched his House of Rocawear collection, celebrating his 31-piece limited-edition fall fashions. The fashions, which were co-designed by Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field, mix hip-hop chic with punk rock glam and featured lace-up dresses, bomber jackets and jeans with patches and splattered paint. The Field-Roca line is set to hit Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s stores in June with prices from $55-$125. On hand to celebrate were Ja Rule, Lil’ Kim, Cam’ron, Naomi Campbell and Irv Gotti.

Later that week, Jennifer Lopez debuted the babydoll dresses, cashmere microshorts, faded jean capris and fur capes of her new line, Sweetface. She also unveiled her new fragrance, Miami Glow by JLo, which is described as “a tropical cocktail full of the scents of lush fruits, fresh flowers and sun-baked sand.” Applauding the collection from the front row were Lil’ Kim and Ashanti.

Lopez’ “Beyond the Runway” show, which looked more like one of her videos than a fashion show, will air on MTV at the end of the month. Sweetface Fashion, which is co-owned by Andy Hilfiger (Tommy’s brother), can be found online at http://www.shopjlo.com.
