Mariah Carey is taking another step forward in her comeback. Her album The Emancipation of Mimi has been met with such critical acclaim that she led the American Music Award nominations. She received four nods. American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, rapper 50 Cent and Green Day received three nominations each for their efforts.
