Keeping his word to bring positive change to the St. Louis Public Schools, St. Louis School Superintendent Dr. Creg Williams has tapped veteran school board administrator Dr. Charlene Jones to head up a back-to-school program to increase student attendance. The program will involve visits to homeless shelters and parents’ homes by Williams over the next month, in addition to a media campaign featuring Comptroller Darlene Green, Congressman Wm. Lacy Clay, the Rev. Sammie Jones and others.
