First-time homebuyers in St. Louis can once again apply for down-payment assistance through the St. Louis Development Corporation’s HomeSTL program.
The program, which reopened with $1 million in American Rescue Plan Act funding, provides up to $40,000 toward the purchase of a home. Buyers purchasing in designated areas of the city may qualify for up to $50,000.
Eligible participants may receive assistance with no monthly payments and 0% interest for up to 10 years.
Applicants must occupy the home as their primary residence, meet income and credit requirements. Other information on eligibility requirements, approved lenders and application procedures is available through the HomeSTL program at DevelopStLouis.org/HomeSTL.
