A former child actor who appeared on TV shows including “30 Rock,” “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” and “That’s So Raven,” has been sentenced to more than two years in federal prison by a judge in Iowa.
Bobb’e J. Thompson, 30, was arrested in September 2025 after he was observed driving 104 miles per hour in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, per a news release issued to KTLA.com by U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Northern District of Iowa. During a traffic stop, an officer reportedly saw Thompson switch seats with the passenger.
A search of the vehicle turned up a backpack, said to belong to Thompson, that contained multiple bags of “dispensary-bought marijuana” as well as a loaded gun that was reported stolen in Missouri, according to the release.
According to KTLA.com, the DOJ reported that Thompson had previously been convicted of battery and assault in 2020, and he was also convicted of prohibited possession of a firearm in 2022.
