Reality star Sidney Starr is asking a Georgia judge to release her on bond, arguing that her celebrity status is making jail unsafe for her.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the former Love & Hip Hop cast member — who is facing child molestation charges — says she has no criminal history and poses no danger to the community if released while awaiting trial. Her attorney says incarceration is having “adverse effects” on her physical and mental health and notes that Starr is recognizable to many people inside the jail.

Starr claims her notoriety has made her a target. She says inmates have pressured her for money and that her personal identification number for the jail’s video communication system was stolen and used by others.

Starr also submitted a letter from her father supporting her request for bond. “I am her father, and I would like to say that Sidney has always been a good person,” he wrote.

As previously reported by TMZ, Starr was arrested at a Georgia hotel earlier this month after a young man’s parents called police. They told officers Starr met the boy in the lobby and went back to her room. Starr has denied knowing he was underage.
