Cardi B publicly apologized to Latto this week, releasing an open letter on social media acknowledging her role in escalating their long-running feud. The Grammy-winning rapper said she wanted to “take accountability” for the back-and-forth that played out online and in music, writing that she regretted letting the situation “go too far.”
The apology follows more than a year of friction between the two artists — including subliminal shots, leaked DMs, and fan-fueled speculation that intensified after Latto’s breakout hit “Big Energy.” The tension resurfaced earlier this spring when both women were accused of trading indirect jabs on social media and in lyrics.
In the letter, Cardi said she wanted to “move with intention.” She also added that the industry already puts Black women in rap under enough pressure without them “tearing each other down.”
Latto has not publicly responded.
