Last Monday, Canadian rapper Tory Lanez was stabbed 14 times in prison and listed in critical condition following the attack. According to TMZ.com, Lanez has taken a turn for the better.
A statement on the Tory Lanez official Instagram account confirmed the news as well as specific details regarding the wounds.
“Tory was stabbed 14 times – including 7 wounds to his back, 4 to his torso, 2 to the back of his head and one to the left side of his face,” the post read. “Both of his lungs collapsed and he was placed on a breathing apparatus. He is now breathing on his own. Despite being in pain, he is talking normally, in good spirits and deeply grateful to God that he is pulling through.”
Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison in August 2023 for shooting Houston rap vixen Megan Thee Stallion. He was found guilty of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
