Last August internet personality B. Scott sued BET for forcing him to take off his make-up and remove his high heel shoes just moments before hosting a segment for the BET Awards pre-show.
The case has been dismissed.
The judge ruled in BET’s favor on the grounds of their 1st Amendment right to run their show as they see fit.
“It disheartens me that the message sent today wasn’t a message of acceptance, but rather it’s acceptable to discriminate against transgender individuals on the basis of their gender identity and expression,” B. Scott told TMZ.com.
B. Scott plans to appeal the ruling.
