Bobby Brown has filed for guardianship over Bobbi Kristina Brown’s estate.
Bobbi Kristina, the 22-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, was placed in a medically-induced coma after being found unresponsive in a Roswell, GA home on Jan. 31.
Last month, she was moved from Emory University Hospital to DeKalb Medical Center.
Lawyers for Cissy Houston issued the following statement regarding Bobby Brown’s plans.
“This is a family matter involving sensitive information. We hope to resolve this in a manner that is respectful of Bobbi Kristina’s sensitive health information. The Houston family has always looked out for the best interest of Bobbi Kristina Brown. The family has done so all of her life and will continue to do so. We trust that others have the same objective.”
Sources close to the family told Radar Online that Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother Cissy Houston is going to fight tooth and nail to make sure Bobby isn’t granted guardianship.
“Cissy Houston will fight this to the grave,” a source said. “Since day one, all of the Houstons have been waiting for Bobby to try and get Bobbi Kristina’s money and they knew it was just a matter of time. No one is surprised that he is making a grab for her money.”
Guardianship for Bobbi Kristina is currently handled by Bobbi Kristina’s aunt Pat Houston
