George Clinton, 82, the legendary frontman of the Parliament-Funkadelic, will be enshrined in the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday Jan. 19 – and it’s way past time.
“George Clinton has been instrumental in shaping the sound of Funk and pushing musical boundaries. His distinctive style, flamboyant persona, and psychedelic stage presence have made him a beloved figure and a pioneer of the genre,” said Ana Martinez, Walk of Fame producer.
Hosted by Sibley Scoles, guest speakers will include Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump (why?) and songwriter Janie Bradford.
