Kevin Hart is suing his former assistant for $50,000 after she appeared on blogger Tasha K’s platform and discussed details of his private life.
Miesha Shakes, who worked for Hart from 2017 to 2020, appeared on Tasha K’s podcast and shared information covered under a confidentiality agreement she signed.
Hart’s legal team is now seeking the $50,000 penalty outlined in that NDA, according to TMZ.
TMZ also reports that associates of Tasha K allegedly attempted to extort Hart for $250,000 before the interview aired. Hart says someone claiming to be connected to Tasha K called him demanding the money to keep the segment from being released. When he refused, he reported the alleged extortion attempt to police and issued cease-and-desist letters.
