T-Pain’s digital-only record label, Nappy Boy Digital, has joined forces with mobile content company Zed (formerly 9 Squared) as the label’s exclusive mobile distributor. Billboard.com. says that under the deal, Zed will place Nappy Boy Digital content on all U.S. wireless operators sales portals with which it has agreements, as well as on its off-deck sales site.
Zed reached a similar agreement with KOCH Entertainment to provide the exclusive distribution of the label’s master ringtones.
T-Pain’s hype man, Miami-born rapper Tay Dizm, is the first artist on Nappy Boy Digital and released the label’s first single, “Beam Me Up,” through iTunes in May.
