Bilaal Salaam, who alleged Jada confronted and threatened at Will’s birthday party in September 2021, requested via an email on July 7 that a judge require the actor to participate in a deposition, according to legal documents obtained by Page Six.
Jada’s legal team responded, stating that “there is nothing to meet and confer about” because the “Men in Black” star “is not a party to this litigation” and has not formally been served a subpoena.
Salaam filed the lawsuit in December 2025, alleging that Jada confronted him in the lobby of the Regency Calabasas Commons hotel during Will’s birthday celebration in September 2021.
According to his complaint, Jada threatened that he would “end up missing or catch a bullet” if he continued discussing her private life. Salaam claims members of her entourage were present and followed him to his vehicle.
He is seeking $3 million in damages for alleged emotional, physical and financial harm.
Jada has denied his account and dismissed Salaam’s public allegations as “nonsense.”
Part of me could totally see Jada Pinkett Smith saying this. The other part of me can see Bilaal Salaam being escorted out of the event. Maybe there is a very good reason why he is no longer a friend of Will Smith’s. I see this as nothing more than a attempted money grab on the part of one Bilaal Salaam.
