The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has honored five Affinia Healthcare health centers with the Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition. The health centers located at South Broadway, Biddle, North Florissant, Lemp and Page were recognized.

“This recognition reflects our commitment to delivering the highest quality, patient-centered care,” said Dr. Kendra Holmes, Affinia president and CEO.

“To earn this recognition, Affinia Healthcare demonstrated compliance with all 40 core criteria and achieved well over the required 25 elective credits across these concept areas.”

The NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home program was developed to assess whether clinician practices are functioning as medical homes and recognize them for these efforts.

The American College of Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Osteopathic Association and others partner with NCQA.

“NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition raises the bar in defining high-quality care by emphasizing access, health information technology and coordinated care focused on patients,” said NCQA President Margaret E. O’Kane.

“Recognition shows that Affinia Healthcare has the tools, systems and resources to provide its patients with the right care, at the right time.”
