The Missouri Botanical Garden’s MBGnet Web site has been named one of the 50 best science and technology resources available on the internet by the editors of Scientific American magazine. Winners of the Sci/Tech Web Awards 2004 are highlighted on the magazine’s online component, ScientificAmerican.com.
MBGnet, created by the Garden’s Education Division, is an online guide to the world’s biomes and ecosystems, from the rainforest and the taiga to wetlands and shorelines. “Adults and kids alike will be clicking through the continents,” according to ScientificAmerican.com.
MBGnet “offers a colorful and educational cornucopia of info, tempting visitors to find out about the vegetation and climes where they live and to branch out into the unknown to explore the rest of the world.”
