On Saturday, March 30, the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis hosted the 101st Annual Diner before a stellar crowd of over 1,000 at the Marriott St. Louis Grand Hotel. At the event, Carnival Corporation President & CEO Arnold M. Donald and Penny Pennington, managing director of Edward Jones both gave acceptance speeches when they were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards.
The 101st Annual Dinner’s title sponsors include: Centene Charitable Foundation, World Wide Technology, Ameren and Anheuser Busch. 5 On Your Side’s Rene Knott served as the Master of Ceremonies at the dinner which also featured a program video produced by KSDK. The evening concluded with entertainment being provided by local star Kennedy Holmes, of The Voice fame and the Dennis Edwards’ Temptations Revue.

Honorary chairs for the 101st Annual Dinner were David L. Steward, founder and chairman of World Wide Technology; Michael F. Neidorff, chairman and CEO of Centene Corporation; and Warner L. Baxter, chairman, president and CEO of Ameren Corporation. The dinner chair was Larry Otto, market president of U.S. Bank.
