Florissant Mayor Robert Lowery is serious in his efforts to create equal opportunity for those interested in law enforcement careers.
“If they would just come and apply,” Lowery said. “They’ll see that if they meet the standards, they will be hired.”
He is encouraging qualified minority police academy graduates to apply for open positions within the Florissant Police Department.
“The truth is, we do want equal representation in all of our departments,” Lowery said. “And that goes for all minorities – including women.”
The starting salary for the Florissant Police Department is $45,864 – 48,360 plus benefits.
