SCORE hosts monthly workshops

SCORE is hosting one-day interactive seminars to acquaint prospective business owners with the legal, financial, marketing and management planning required in starting and running a profitable business.

These interactive, entrepreneurial seminars are conducted by SCORE counselors who have owned their own business or managed a small or large business enterprise in domestic or international markets. The seminars are under the sponsorship of the U.S. Small Business Administration in conjunction with St. Louis Community College.

The St. Louis chapter of SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) is part of a national non-profit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of the nation’s small business. SCORE volunteers serve as “Counselors to America’s Small Business.”

For the $50 fee, a workbook with all material used in the seminar is included along with a $20 refresher coupon. Times and places are as follows:

Saturday, Jan. 20, 8:15 a.m – 3:30 p.m., Meramec Campus, Room SO-105

Saturday, Feb., 8:15 a.m – 3:30 p.m., Meramec Campus, Room SO-1055

Saturday, March 24, 8:15 a.m – 3:30 p.m., Meramec Campus, Room SO-105.
