The Greater St. Louis Association of Black Journalists is sponsoring its 29th annual Minority Journalism Workshop at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Journalism professionals from the St. Louis area will teach workshop classes. The classes, which are free-of-charge, begin at 8:30 a.m. and run until 1 p.m. for six consecutive Saturdays beginning January 28 and running through March 4.
Instructors will provide students with the basics in print and broadcast journalism and public relations.
Financial scholarships will be offered to qualifying high school seniors enrolled in the program. The workshop is open to local high school sophomores, juniors and seniors as well as recent high school graduates who are attending college freshmen classes in eastern Missouri and in the Metro East.
