On July 1, the Southwest Bank, an M&I Bank, branch locations unveiled new signage as part of the transition to the M&I Bank brand. The bank commemorated the occasion with sign unveiling ceremonies and customer-appreciation lunches on Thursday, July 1 at the Des Peres and Concord Village branches, as well as a customer-appreciation lunch at the Laura Hill branch.
Mayor Rick Lahr attended the sign unveiling and ribbon-cutting ceremonies at the Des Peres location and Donna Abernathy-Schumann, executive director of the South County Chamber of Commerce helped cut the ribbon at the Concord Village branch. M&I Bank Regional President Reagan Rick and Southwest Bank employees also attended the commemorative events.
“M&I Bank appreciates the rich history of Southwest Bank and we look forward to celebrating this transition with the St. Louis community,” said Rick. “As a community bank, we have a strong tradition of supporting our local communities and we will continue to give back to St. Louis.”
Following the transition, M&I Bank will have 17 branches in the St. Louis region. Customers will be able to bank at hundreds of M&I Bank locations throughout the Midwest, Arizona and Florida. As always, there will no charge for ATM use at any bank.
