Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District recently awarded an $88.89

million contract to expand the Missouri River treatment plant to

Goodwin Brothers Construction Co. of Crystal City.

vote came after trustees learned of a change order for the contract

that would increase participation by minority-owned

companies.

for masonry work and $40,000 for material tests. Kwame Building

Group, a St. Louis-based minority business enterprise, will monitor

minority contracting activity.
