Anita Lyons Bond

Anita Lyons Bond received an honorary doctorate from Saint Louis University. She was one of the first African Americans to graduate from SLU following its official integration in 1944. She served on the President’s Committee on Equal Employment Opportunity in the early 1960s and on the committee that wrote the desegregation plan for the St. Louis Public Schools in the 1980s.
